I love the metaphoric reminder of butterflies. I highly recommend planting milkweed in your yard (they are lovely plants with orange and red blossoms, not a weed at all; call your local nursery to see if they have any). The Monarch Butterflies (which are on the decline and need this help) only lay their eggs on milkweed, so they will find you. It is wonderful to watch the caterpillars hatch and grow on the plants and eventually crawl off to turn into a chrysalis. (Plant the plants near a fence or a wall with an overhang, and you might get to watch the chrysalis as well!) Happy Spring!
